Course Description:
This course explores some aspects of the rich and diverse Palestinian culture and cultural heritage.
It uses folklore to learn about music, songs and dancing, dresses and handicrafts and how they developed through the years. It discusses Palestinian traditions through folktales, proverbs, marriage and morning rituals and food.
The course also explores other aspects of Palestinian culture and art and their such as literature and poetry through studying the writings of prominent writers and poets and theater and cinema. The course also examines the effects of political events on culture.
